What IS Fashion?????????

Fashion is by most the most interesting topic I
have ever researched. I never knew there could be
such a variety of research on this topic over the web.
Fashion is described in several different ways, especially according to your personality and how you carry yourself. College students should be entertained about the latest fashion trends, tips, and how your style can benefit you as an individual.
What is fashion? College fashion is a blog for stylish college girls, featuring fashion tips for students, the latest fashion trends, beauty tips, online sale updates, ruminations on college life, college fashionistas’ street style, as well as style advice for 20 something’s. (College Fashion, 2012)  It is almost spring and during spring people are known to wear very dramatic (bright) colors. Why reading a clog post I noticed that not only do they wear bright clothing but also bright nail polish. One of the latest trends is a striped nail designed with different colors. “One of the things that drew me to this pattern is that it feels like something you would see on a beach in the south of France on a hot summer day.” Says Samantha. These stipe nails will be the one of the biggest trends of Spring 2012.

TIPS ON FASHION. . . . . . . . .

Would you like tips on how to wear the latest trends? Majority of college students are willing and able to be updated with the fashion and some are not due to due to specific prices, but do not worry because there is also a way to budget your money and stay updated. Going to college presents unique fashion challenges; perhaps the most perplexing being dresses on a limit budget. In high school, when you didn’t have rent, bills and student loans to worry about, maybe you had new clothing every week. Part of the college experience is learning how to start your life, including forming a brand new relationship with money. Now you are concerned about saving—yet still juggling a social life that most likely demands money, purchasing necessities like dish soap, and feeling guilty about going to Starbucks. It’s definitely a big change from worry-free high school days. (Caitlyn, 2011) Although you are learning to budget and manage time in college it is possible for fashionable students to adjust to a wardrobe budget even though it can be difficult. A few tips on how to do this are shop on sale racks, switch old items up with the previous seasons, invest in nice worthy shoes, and you can also shop in your friend’s closet. Those are only a few ways to budget.

INDIVIDUALITY AND FASHION......
How does fashion shape you as an individual? Some individuals are very confident with themselves and their styles, some haven’t found their style yet. Not necessarily due to a lack of confidence but they do not know where to start. There are all shapes and sizes in the world. There are five main types of female body shape: Apple shape (or round), Pear shape (or triangle/ bottom heavy), Strawberry shape (or inverted triangle/ top heavy), Hourglass shape (or curvy) and Rectangle shape (also known as straight, ruler, or boyish) women. The styles of clothing that look great on an hourglass figure won’t necessarily flatter a pear shaped woman or an apple shaped woman so it’s important you find the one that suits you best. (Joy Wilson, n.d.) You should find your body shape to figure out what style you can mange you will be surprised how apiece of clothing suites your body structure. There are some fashion dos and don’t because every style does not fit everyone. Why are there fashion do's and don't?  Well as we are told a million and one times we are all "unique", each one different in our own way. Most women, everyone I know anyway, have something about their bodies that they just don’t like. Some of us are tall and others are short. One woman may be large on the bottom, the other large on the top. What is so strange is that we always criticize the very attribute that other women are envious of. So stop!  It doesn't do you any good to wish for different features.  No matter how hard you wish, or how much you complain your short legs are not going to get any longer, or your long legs aren't going to get any shorter! We are what we are. It’s time to learn to love ourselves for who we are and what we can become. You can learn how to celebrate your curves and imperfections when you know the right fashion dos and don'ts for you. The important thing with fashion do's and don't is to get to know you, and YOUR body.  Find out what your body type is and embrace it.  Find out what looks great on you, and find what will help you look your best with your fashion do's and don'ts! Fashion changes throughout the seasons. Although you may not be able to stay updated with the latest trends, my research allows you to understand others individuality.
